Before going on the main subject, Let’s see the data first:
A. Increase Automotive Sales, Major automotive company’s sales in India Sep. 2022.

Above ref. picture indicated at what rapid level Indian car sales is increasing.
B. Driving License issuing trend in India
The driving license serves as proof that the holder has been given permission to operate the specified vehicle on public roads. It is issued by the respective state governments. The total number of licensees issued to date is 11,80 Crores (Y2020). Nobody may operate a vehicle without a driver’s license issued by the Regional Transport Office (RTO) or Regional Transport Authority, according to the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988. (RTA).
C. Road accidents cases last 5 years

Increase in vehicle density as above picture is clearly visible. This clearly indicates, if we will not improve the Human Behaviour than the situation will be very alarming on Indian roads in coming future.
Accident Deaths / 100 Accidents

Above data clearly indicates that DEATH RATE at every 100 accidents have been increased at 36 nos / 100 accidents. Inspite of improved manufactured vehicles quality & strict safety norms. The human Behaviour is the untouched factor looks clearly

The National highways under NHAI are mostly having superb infrastructure compare rest authorities, Inspite of that fact, Highest no of accidents are contributed by NHAI.
Road accidents are multi-causal and are the result of an interplay of various factors. These can broadly be categorized into those relating to:
- Human error or behaviour,
- Road condition/environment and
- Vehicular condition. These factors act in an interactive manner to cause road accidents. Any strategy for designing the counter
(1). HUMAN BEHAVIOUR : OVER SPEEDING FACTOR
Road accidents attributable to various types of traffic rules violations reveals that ‘over speeding’ constitute the main violation associated with accidents, accident-related deaths and injuries, for the third
consecutive year in 2020. During the year 2020, ‘over speeding’ accounting for 72.5 % of the road accidents, 69.3 % of total deaths and 73.4 % of total injuries.
(2). HUMAN BEHAVIOUR : DRIVING WITHOUT LICENCE
As per below mentioned data chart, 72% of vehicles met with an accident, for which vehicles were driven by valid driving license holders. But other human behaviour reasons like Over speeding, Drunk & drive, Lane changed, Horn not blown, Signal not shown are also contributor for the road accident. Even the license holders have permit to drive the vehicles but most of them are in competent. This is a biggest worry sign & upcoming crisis for Indian roads.

As per above figure, 9 % of accident cases occurred due to without driving license, this shall be treated by the government Road Transport Department as ‘SERIOUS OFFENSE’, Because that is not only creating trouble for the that driver & Other risers in same vehicle but Other innocent 3rd party persons also got victim. The cases shall be covered under ‘SERIOUS OFFENCE’ category. For the country over the population of 150 Crore strict laws only can help.

(3). HUMAN BEHAVIOUR : DRIVING ON THE WRONG SIDE LANE INDISCIPLINE
Driving in the wrong side lane which a most ALARMATIC indiscipline. It is the second most important cause accounting for 5.5 % of the road accidents, 5.6 % of total deaths and 5.6 % of total injuries (Year 2020)
(4). HUMAN BEHAVIOUR : DRUNK & DRIVE
Drunk & driving: consumption of alcohol & drugs, jumping of red light and use of mobile phones taken together accounted for 4.9 % of total accidents and 5.4 % of total deaths. The others category which would include reasons like road environment
(5). HUMAN BEHAVIOUR : VEHICULAR CONDITIONS
Vehicular condition accounted for almost 17.1 % of the accidents, 19.8 % of accident-related deaths and 16.3 % of injuries.
(6). HUMAN BEHAVIOUR : NON-USE OF MINIMAL SAFETY DEVICES (HELMET / SEAT-BELTS)
Non-usage of safety devices such as helmets and seatbelts do not cause accidents but are critical for averting fatal and grievous injuries in the event of road occurrence accidents. Helmets are mandatory for all motorists on two-wheelers barring few exemptions. In 2020, 30.1 % of death and 26 % of injury caused due to no usage of helmet. Similarly, more than 11 % of death and injury caused due to non-usage of seat belts
(7). HUMAN BEHAVIOUR : THE AGE FACTOR

Above data of 2020, clearly indicates the younger age group between 25-35, 35-45 is more contributor for the road accident fatal cases.
Conclusion: If we control above 6 types of Human wrong behaviour related issues than these accident s will be automatically reduced. The main concern is because of such irresponsible drivers, other innocent peoples who are seated in that particular vehicles as well third parties are suffering.
As a whole we have to try at following 5 levels:
- Individual level Awareness
- Automotive companies have to spend their CSR budget on driver training & infrastructure improvement
- Government of India has to be VERY STRICT on such violators, Improve Digitalization, At TOLL booth some awareness campaign needs to be done
- Awareness to be started at School level where younger generation developed
- Other persons who are seated in the car need to be alert & insist the driver
- Road site refreshment points to be increased for regular & long route drivers

Based on own experience, conducted a study on human behavior, everyone shall ensure obeying rules to minimize the road accident on account of HUMAN BEHAVIOURS.
