There are some important thoughts on this subject need to understand:

  1. Consciousness – whatever you are doing just do it consciously don’t do it mechanically. We moves hands mechanically, we can move it very consciously with full alertness. There is a difference of quality when you move it with consciousness there is grace. When you move it is just like machine, there is no grace, no beauty.
  2. Six days you do everything and seventh day we go to the pray, we feel that our religion is finished, Some people do 20 minute meditation in the morning but these are not meditations.
  3. Meditation has to be something like breathing, we cannot go on holiday, even in sleep we continue breathing, so whatever we are doing, even just breathing, then breathe consciously in as we take the breath in, remain alert as the breath starts moving out remain alert, this is meditating.
  4. Walking just go consciously and it is meditating. The meditation is not something separate from life. It’s something that has to be spread all over Life. The whole life has to be coloured by it. So, whatever we do, meditation shall remain. Meditation cannot drop that even while making love. It is not like spectacular, which cannot be taken off! It is eyes, they are always there.
  5. Doing, Thinking, Feeling – Meditation is a method of being aware of whatever we are doing thinking, feeling. On all three layers, you have to become aware.
  6. Awareness – A time comes, that when going to sleep, even then while sitting on the bed, sit in awareness and lie down in awareness. Wait for sleep by fully watchful, when it comes, how it comes, how slowly it descends body, how body starts relaxing, in what point there was tension and now the tension has gone.
  7. A day will come, certainly comes, when the body will have gone to sleep and your meditation will be still there like a flame inside you, burning fully aware. This is the moment we can say the meditation is complete.
  8. Now even in sleep meditation being done. So there is no question for awaken, we will able to meditate without any problem. Just as in sleep slowly-slowly go deeper, the body is left far away relaxed, the mind slows down, their thoughts go on disappearing. You will feel that you are separate from body, you are something eternal.
